Job Scope & Purpose

Johnson Controls wants to appoint an HR Manager to lead the HR organization in Belgium and to drive the implementation and communication of all multidiscipline HR policies, procedures, processes and initiatives at regional level. The HR Manager will manage a team of 3 people: 2 HR Assistants (responsible for Payroll and providing administrative support) and an HR Professional (supporting the HR Manager in all other areas).

Key Accountabilities

  • Compensation & Benefits (C&B) / HRIS;
  • Responsible for the correct application of all Corporate & Regional Compensation & Benefits policies, processes and tools;
  • Ensures that all positions in the region are provided with an approved job code, job title, grade and reporting line in compliance with Johnson Controls policies;
  • Ensures that compensation packages for employees in the assigned region are developed in a consistent and equitable manner;
  • Provides input to and manages the annual merit review process for all employees in the assigned region, in line with C&B guidelines;
  • Manages the equity budget at regional level;
  • Participates in salary surveys for the region;
  • Leads communication/implementation/execution of all applicable incentive schemes.Ensures compliance with the International Assignment Policies for any assignees into/from assigned region.Responsible for 100 % PeopleSoft data integrity on all mandatory fields as defined by Corporate HQ and full compliance with the EMEA PeopleSoft Data Integrity Guidelines for all locations in assigned region;
  • Responsible for Payroll Department, e.g. timely & accurate salary calculations including benefits, monthly pay-outs & tax withholdings whilst ensuring full compliance with local labor & tax laws;
  • Defines & implements the Labor Relations strategy and standards in assigned region and ensures proper execution & compliance. Escalates any non compliance to next level HR leadership;
  • Talent Acquisition;
  • Ensures compliance with all mandatory, corporate and regional training programs and administration;
  • Responsible for executing all mandatory, Corporate & Regional Health & Safety programs & initiatives.

Your Profile

  • Master degree or equivalent through experience;
  • Experience in country/ field HR work is a must;
  • HR qualification/ certification is an asset;
  • Progressive HR experience up to a managerial position within, preferably a multi-country scope;
  • Excellent understanding of employee / industrial relations, financial skills & business understanding;
  • Excellent understanding of business dynamics and organizational design;
  • Experience in working successfully in a multinational, matrix driven organization;
  • Ability to deal with high level of complexity within an ever changing business environment;
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills;
  • Strong organizational, change management and analytic skills;
  • Intrinsic motivation, positive charisma and high degree of personal integrity, reliability and identification with the Company;
  • People management skills. Excellent at driving accountability and results;
  • Cross cultural awareness.
