Primary Job Responsibilities

• Proactively supporting the business while minimizing tax expense in a risk controlled manner;
• Assist in the identification, design, implementation and maintenance of tax strategies in EMEA;
• Working collaboratively as part of a team in a high learning environment, the Senior Manager supports the business on a real time basis in respect of day to day matters and projects;
• Responsible for supporting all tax matters in respect of the PayPal business in EMEA;
• Management of tax inquiries in the region for PayPal;
• Assist with the tax due diligence and structuring of international acquisitions in the region;
• Proactively monitor tax legislation and developments in the region;
• This is a high visible position with direct contact with PayPal management and business leaders.

The Senior Manager is also expected to work collaboratively with other members of the Tax Department to provide internal support to increase process efficiencies eg. transfer pricing, provision and compliance.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of seven to ten years of international tax experience in public accounting and/or with a corporate tax department;
• Experience of several international tax regimes. Basic US tax knowledge an advantage;
• Self-motivated with good project management skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with team members;
• Exhibit strong creative and analytical thinking, strong writing skills, and ability to work in a fast pace environment with excellent prioritization and organizational skills;
• Detail oriented;
• Proactive with ability to lead and partner with the business;
• Business acumen;
• Masters or Bachelor degree in Accounting for Finance or equivalent in experience;
• ACA/CPA/Lawyer.
