Job purpose

As part of the LSCM leadership team, the Candidate will be the Business Partner for the supply chain organization (LSCM) in the EMIA-region and will work in close collaboration with the HQ Finance team. He/She will Contribute to development of LSCM Strategy & cascade it down in the LSCM organization and beyond.

He/She will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to the LSCM Finance team and will collaborate with Accounting Service Center (BEBS).

The ideal candidate will be a strong value-added business partner to the LSCM team, the Regional Controllers group, EMIA HQ Finance teams, and functional counterparts.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial results of the supply chain organization;
  • Manage the budget and forecasting processes, support the budget owners in preparing budgets and CAPEX plans, and making ad hoc analysis;
  • Identify future opportunities and/or issues, and articulate strong and clear positions based on sound judgement, and the balance of both short-term and longer-term impact;
  • Assess emerging trends in the business' operations; analyze and present their potential impact and recommend action steps;
  • Create compelling financial presentations to communicate with the Supply chain leadership team and senior executive team;
  • Establish the right systems, tools and processes to collate and ensure cost information for global benchmarking;
  • Be an active member on the S&OP operating mechanism providing business insight;
  • Provide financial insight to EMIA Customer Service & Logistics, and LSCM Project teams;
  • Work closely with LSCM team to assess business cases and provide feedback, that allow management to take the decisions (e.g. sourcing case scenarios, landed cost impacts, others) covering End-to-end perspective.

Primary Finance Responsibilities

  • Lead a team (both in-house and remotely) responsible for the primarily responsibilities listed above as well as specific month-end close processes such as:
    • Inventory & Cost control over both internal sites and third-party warehouse locations;
    • Inventory valuation/reserve management;
    • Fixed assets for Supply Chain areas;
    • Accounting support and coordination for all Supply Chain warehouses;
    • Month closing process (month closing in SAP, accrual management and leading pre-closing meetings).
  • Manage process of allocation of LSCM budget and actual costs, to product groups, channels and markets;
  • Act as the SAP subject matter expert for supply chain finance team;
  • Lead strategic efforts for continuous improvement, standardization of processes and deliverables, and efficiency projects;
  • Focus efforts into Forecast Accuracy, Inventory reduction (Excess & Obsolete);
  • Be a strong value-added business partner to the Corporate Controllers group, the Division Finance teams, and the functional counterparts.

  • Maintain a consistent focus on talent development and performance management;
  • Hold team accountable to objectives and monitor team performance through metrics.

Required capabilities

Critically important to this position is:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Experience

  • Master degree in Finance or similar;
  • A minimum of 7 years overall finance experience required including 3+ years of Industrial Sector;
  • Experience in international companies (preferred);
  • Supply chain or Manufacturing experience required with warehousing operation exposure;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS required;
  • Experience with SAP preferred;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Highly motivated and proactive in problem solving;
  • Strong verbal and written communication and client interface skills;
  • Strong attention to detail & Easiness with numbers;
  • Fluent in English (Spoken & Written), Other European language is an asset.
