The Digital Marketing Manager (Paid Social) is responsible for developing and leading the activation of the paid social strategy. You will be the key contact for all paid social channels, work with the senior management team to help with the overall performance marketing strategy and your role will be both hands-on as well as strategic. The Digital Marketing Manager (Paid Social) will create a strategy to drive traffic to the website and app, as well as most importantly drive acquisition and ROAS. You will create, execute and optimise all Paid Social Campaigns utilise alternative Paid Social channels, test different creatives, and varying audience segments. You should have a passion for data, make decisions based upon data and report using data. You will have full P+L accountability, focusing on both top and bottom-line growth.

This role reports into the Head of Marketing Technology at Aion.

What will you do

  • Coordinate all areas of paid social marketing from planning to creative and copy tests, budgeting, evaluation and optimisation;
  • Own the paid social customer lifecycle across awareness, engagement, acquisition, onboarding and retention;
  • Work with the social media specialists to ensure creative is optimised for performance and brand;
  • Manage the relationship with the brand, design and digital media team;
  • Oversee and implement paid social campaign set up and reporting.

Who are we looking for

  • You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a previous paid social performance role with an ecommerce client or agency;
  • You have a degree in software engineering or bachelor/master of science;
  • You are experienced with using programming languages (SQL, Java, Python);
  • You are experienced with using relational databases;
  • You have experience with paid social tools;
  • You have advanced technical knowledge of campaign set-up and optimisation;
  • You have worked on large B2C/DTC brands with performance marketing focus;
  • You have a working knowledge of search engine optimisation and natural search activities and how that contributes to paid social advertising;
  • You have advanced level of knowledge of Excel and other reporting tools;
  • You have an ability to prioritise and manage workload across a range of online channels;
  • You have knowledge of analytical software tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook insights and analytics etc.;
  • You have experience with conversion funnels and optimisation strategies;
  • You are passionate about and engaged with the fast changing world of paid social media, online video, and digital marketing;
  • You are strongly numerate and comfortable with data sets;
  • You are an articulate presenter, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and external agencies, comfortable with showing what data means and how we can take action based upon it;
  • You are committed to delivering first class work every time, and never leaving a quality issue unchecked;
  • You are diligent and attentive to detail in optimisation and reporting;
  • You have excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills.
