We are currently seeking an OEM EU Sales Manager to join our team in Gent. Reporting to our Global OEM Business Manager in St. Louis, Missouri (US), you will be responsible for leading the Air Products PRISM® Membranes sales activities.
Primary position responsibilities include securing new business, providing account management to existing customers and achieving sales and profit growth targets within the EU market;
Accountable for achievement of annual membrane sales goals via direct selling and channel partner management;
Key tasks include prospecting, needs assessment, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating pricing and terms and conditions, and engaging internal support resources;
Technical aptitude required; Agreements are typically multi-year in length and may involve application specific equipment, technical services, and multiple products;
Success in this position requires a self-starter with good time management and organization skills;
Adept at working in a matrixed organization and to collaborate with other sales and marketing professionals within APPM and Air Products’ broader organization.
This position will be accountable for the following end results:
Manage key strategic OEM accounts within the EU region to deliver revenue and direct profit targets;
Evaluate and develop new OEM and/or direct partners from leads or other sources;
Negotiate and manage customer contracts and supply agreements;
Interface with Product Manager and Supply Chain team to develop customer-level forecasts;
Assess effectiveness of channel partners and sales strategies;
Application of competitive and market insight to product development team for prioritization and strategy.
What we're looking for:
Demonstrated sales success; emphasis on technical content of application and product;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Strong sense of customer-centricity and able to develop and cultivate business relationships;
Degree (BA/BS/BEng) with 5-10 years of experience; Technical degree preferred;
Familiarity with rotating equipment, membrane technology, and inert generators are a plus;
Financial acumen with ability to negotiate and manage contracts;
Experience with CRM or similar database for opportunity pipeline and account management;
Strong team focus and ability to work cross-functionally;
Set clear direction and priorities and execute against objectives;
