About the Role

We are looking for an experienced business analyst with strong people coaching skills to lead the Business Analysis Chapter in our On-Premises tribe at SWIFT, the tribe responsible for developing enterprise applications enabling businesses globally to connect to financial networks.

Based in Belgium, you will be working as a member of a dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery - from customer engagements to operations.

Responsabilities

• You will be responsible for the Chapter's best practices and standards (developing and steering the Chapter members on the 'how');
• You will create and maintain an environment for knowledge and idea sharing between chapter members, fostering the Business Analysis discipline, stimulating its continuous improvement, and driving its best practice across the Tribe;
• You will coach the members of the chapter on their personal development and growth path, facilitate their performance reviews, and conduct regular performance dialogues;
• You will maintain a picture of the Chapter members' skills and expertise, and act to improve existing or build up new capabilities depending on Tribe needs;
• You will be responsible for hiring and onboarding new chapter members;
• You will contribute to the Tribe's strategy and vision, by offering a broad range of ideas regarding requirements, trends and business needs;
• Being a member of a tribe squad, as a Business Analyst you will spend about half of your time collaborating with your colleagues to achieve the key objectives and results of the squad. Indicatively:
  • You will define, analyse, validate and maintain functional requirements;
  • You will validate proposed solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environment;
  • You will provide technical or relevant business knowledge during all phases of the development and resolve unique and complex business problems;
  • You will understand technological trends in own area of responsibility and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to the customers;
  • You will challenge the status quo, and think out of the box for alternative/most efficient solutions.

Qualifications

Soft skills

• Passionate about people coaching, with an inspiring hands-on approach, and keen to help others achieve their potential, to grow and succeed;
• Autonomous, empowered with the ability to adapt and respond to change;
• Customer oriented and quality-oriented mindset, with strong communication skills;
• Open-minded, curious, solutions oriented, and a true team player – gaining energy through collaboration with others;
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Hard skills

• Experience in modeling (e.g. UML, BPMN);
• Knowledge of change-driven methodologies (e.g. Design Thinking) will be an advantage;
• Knowledge in collaborative tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) will be an advantage.

Education

• University degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Business, or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 4-5 years Business Analysis experience;
• Minimum 2-3 years in people management roles;
• Knowledge/Experience in Agile processes will be an advantage.
