POSITION

  • Jointly with the management team, define the growth strategy of the company, design its commercial component, and execute it;
  • Directly own a few large potential, key customers as Key Account Manager;
  • Be one of the CEO’s sounding board on strategic issues;
  • Develop the company through the launch of new technological solutions to the market;
  • Manage all of the company's commercial activities, esp. Key Account management for large customers (possibly in conjunction with Technical Sales), and indirect channels through distribution and partners;
  • Define and disseminate the Ampacimon sales pitch at strategic level;
  • Own him/herself the largest accounts and contract opportunities in order to deliver growth from key customers;
  • Define and implement the sales tools to be made at disposal of the Sales Team;
  • Closely follow sales execution through the use of appropriate reporting and tools;
  • Manage a small team of 5 (approximately) sales people (Key Account Managers, Distribution Managers). Drive performance, motivation, and define the team’s growth plan in adequacy with the company’s growth objectives;
  • Assist the CEO to detect future M&A targets and to evaluate commercial SWOT; when required, take direct ownership and drive execution of M&A targets commercial integration;
  • Develop and monitor the yearly sales budget;
  • Liaise with other departments of the company to execute our growth plans (R&D, Production, Projects, Finance, HR, Bus Dev/M&A).

PROFILE

  • Fluent English (working language); French, German, Spanish and other languages are definitively assets;
  • Master’s degree, preferably in engineering or strong affinity with technology. A relevant post- graduation program, e.g., MBA, e-MBA, innovation, digitalization/IoT… is a plus;
  • 15 years complex sales experience in a B2B environment (complex systems, software, service), ideally gained in the power/infrastructure industry, good understanding of the industry structure and its challenges;
  • Gained strong experience in deploying “Value Selling” techniques to identify emerging needs in market segment, and monetize Ampacimon’s solutions optimally;
  • Strong experience in selling complex solutions to large industrial companies;
  • At least 5 years’ experience of managing a small sales team;
  • Used to manage both direct and indirect sales channels;
  • Strong experience in international sales (Europe and outside Europe), including international public tenders;
  • Ability to be tactical AND strategic;
  • Willing, capable, and motivated to be BOTH a Sales Director and a KAM. Needs to want to own large customers himself;
  • Resilient, with strong drive to close business. Focused, doesn’t take “No” as an answer;
  • Ability to interact with multiple players within a customer’s organization (purchasers, engineering, operations, strategic planning etc…);
  • Ability to build strong personal ties with key customer’s people at high level;
  • Ability and willingness to operate in an entrepreneurial environment, without corporate structure nor mentality;
  • Wants to grow this business as if it was his own;
  • Capable and willing to take a 6m€ company to 15m€ in 2 years, and reach 50m€ in 5 years;
  • Strategic mindset to help the CEO and the management team to execute this growth plan;
  • Sound business acumen, ability to be tactical and strategic;
  • Entrepreneurial, SME minded, willing to have a big impact on a fastgrowing company;
  • Combines a very pragmatic approach with a good helicopter view and judgement to go for the essentials and priorities;
  • Self-starter and autonomous, used to work transversally and remote, but surely not a lone-wolf;
  • High set of values, ethics and intellectual honesty.
