Your role - Are you ready for a challenge?

Based in Luxembourg, the role requires English-fluent to native excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to write for different channels, as well as attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability. The candidate should be able to manage her/his own time, be a quick learner, organized and professional, with a good understanding of and an active interest in the media, news, financial services and current affairs.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will report to the Director - Head of Marketing & Communications Europe.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Creating engaging content for new initiatives, product and/or new market launches and corporate projects (including but not limited to ESG, digital transformation, strategic growth initiatives, etc.);
  • Supporting Group CEO Comms and other C-level internal and external communications including writing OpEds, scripts and presentations;
  • Developing and coordinating internal communications & engagement plans and the Company’s ESG/corporate citizenship agenda;
  • Writing and editing concise, compelling copy that supports the defined internal and external MarComms strategy and related campaigns, while integrating brand messaging and identity, for highly personalized multi-channel communications, including digital and print;
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of the global wealth management industry and key themes relating to wealth and succession planning by drafting opinion editorials, thought leadership pieces, research paper reports, etc. on behalf of our Company’s business leaders and subject-matter experts;
  • Executing on creative direction, taking (often complex) concepts and bringing them to life in a simple and efficient manner;
  • Participating in brainstorms and briefings; presenting work internally with a meaningful rationale; managing time and multiple projects efficiently;
  • Supporting content creation and communications with regards to sponsorships, partnerships and external events;
  • Developing a proactive approach to marketing & communications – identifying new initiatives and/or opportunities to support the growth in new business;
  • Being a steward of the company’s reputation and brand – ensuring the brand narrative and messaging remains fit for purpose, contemporary and engaging;
  • Being a trusted adviser and business partner on marketing and communications activity.

Role description:

  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of Lombard International Group’s value propositions covering brand, marketing communications, market environment and competitive landscape;
  • Contribute, coordinate and/or write content to support external communications (PR, newsletters, website, social media, video scripts) and internal communications for each relevant audience and marketing channel;
  • Develop and maintain content for the company’s websites in line with the legal and compliance requirements;
  • Develop and produce specific press releases and ensure relevant multichannel publications;
  • Execute internal reviews and sign offs for all marketing & communications content initiatives (including messaging, communications, marketing collaterals, imagery, adverts, videos and merchandising);
  • Work in partnership with HR in developing an engaging internal communications messaging, writing and contributing to internal publications and channels;
  • Support the implementation of the strategic and tactical marketing communications plan to support the development of the business and grow the brand;
  • Managing the day to day relationship with retained Marketing Communications agencies.

Your profile - Have you got what it takes to become our Marketing & Communications Manager?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Marketing Communications, or a related field;
  • Ideally, at least 5 years’ industry experience in a similar role within the financial services industry – wealth management, private banking or insurance would be very beneficial;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – fluent to native English – other European languages would be an asset, especially French, Italian, German, Spanish or Swedish;
  • Proven skills, knowledge and experience in content creation;
  • Experienced in working in media and corporate reputation;
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams with the ability manage teams remotely, to influence and take initiative;
  • A team player with a creative and solutions-oriented mindset to problem-solving;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • The ability to work in a high pressure environment and to meet tight deadlines;
  • Experience with web content management platforms and understanding of SEO techniques;
  • Experience in social media, including LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube;
  • High IT literacy;
  • Experience in working in media and corporate reputation;
  • Experience in managing b2b Financial Services media campaigns;
  • Proven copywriting expertise;
  • Sound decision maker and negotiator;
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
