General Summary

The Corporate Communications Manager - EMEA innovates and leads communications projects for Avient’s global internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the strategies and objectives of the corporation. This individual will be a valued and trusted communications resource for the company’s business units and functional areas – as well as an innovator and content developer that engages audiences through convincing and clear communications.

Essential Functions

  • Assists the Vice President of Corporate Communications and team in developing and implementing the Corporate Communications strategy for the global organization;
  • Provides direct support on a regional basis for executive leadership team based in EMEA region, including in-person and virtual town hall events, regional Employee Resource Group initiatives, strategic planning processes, sustainability updates and other communications to inspire, educate and engage regional employees;
  • Writes creatively, strategically and effectively for multiple audiences and mediums, including annual sustainability reports, executive speeches and letters, news releases, feature articles, video scripts, organizational announcements, FAQs and other materials;
  • Utilizes communications leadership in working closely with Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other departments on proactive and reactive communications requirements that support the business;
  • Interacts with and coordinates activities for local non-profit and charitable organizations, including the company’s global giving campaign;
  • Works collaboratively with marketing communications to support social media, trade show events, news releases, internal programs and facility openings and expansions;
  • Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred;
  • Minimum 5-15 years’ professional experience required;
  • 3-5 years of communications, journalism or marketing experience desired;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Final Cut Pro video editing software;
  • Experience in graphic design and layout basics preferred;
  • Fluent command of English (C2 level).

  • Knowledge of understanding various audiences and creative means through which to deliver the communications;
