What you'll be doing:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of the most complex solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
  • Identifies, advises on and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
  • Provides exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical leadership, consistent communication, and ongoing technical consultation.
  • Shares responsibility for win strategy with sales and leads the client discovery with relevant insights and articulate how our proven solution and services deliver tangible results.
  • Works with Client facing teams to influence subscription license sales, provide educational inputs and act as SPOC for all licensing-related technical queries.
  • Analyses client software purchases to identify suitable bundles for effective commercial license proposal.
  • Leads transformation deals on the conversion of current software licenses into Enterprise Agreements, change to optimal license structure etc.
  • Produces specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products.
  • Accountable for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
  • Continuously monitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
  • Creates reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and insights with others.
  • Leads the design of components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
  • Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
  • Makes recommendations for the development of new go to market services and promotes and leads specialist knowledge on relevant verticals.
  • Operates across both the technical levels within the enterprise architecture and the value chain in order to develop holistic and integrated solutions.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced Solutions Architects.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Significant knowledge of multi-vendor service integrations and cross-functional software, OS’s and infrastructure designs.
  • Significant ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language.
  • Significant knowledge of different licensing models – Perpetual, Right To Use, End-User, Subscription, Enterprise Agreements, etc.
  • Significant knowledge of key vendors licensing models, such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare and Palo Alto license structure, license tools and license commercial model.
  • Ability to develop and leverage their significant specialist knowledge of reference architectures.
  • Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Significant ability to collaborate with cross functional teams such as sales, product, delivery etc.
  • Ability to leverage own personal network to open doors for new opportunities.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or business or a related field.
  • Certified Software related certification is desired.
  • Cisco CCIE and/or Cisco CCXP certification strongly desired.

Required Experience:

  • Significant demonstrated experience in digital infrastructure of the key vendor’s software feature and technology capabilities.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in providing an end-to-end design and solution in the aspect of the digital infrastructure.
  • Significant prior experience in key vendors licensing models, such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare and Palo Alto license compliance.
  • Significant experience evaluating software asset agreements.
  • Significant experience in license/software adoption strategies and frameworks.
  • Significant experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Significant experience in multiple industries and across several disciplines.
  • Significant experience with projects through the sales engagement, pre-sales, and also architecture design validation, especially on the infrastructure software technology of key vendor, such as Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft and/or Palo Alto, as well as fully well-versed with the respective vendor’s licensing model and structure.
  • Significant experience working as a solution architect in a global IT services provider organization.
