The Opportunity
As a Business development Specialist for Worldline Financial Services, you will be a crucial member of the Business Development team, with a primary focus on generating new business opportunities for our comprehensive portfolio of state-of-the-art solutions and services. As a leading payments provider in Europe, Worldline Financial Services is perfectly positioned to expand market share in many territories.
Your responsibility will be to bring our solutions and services to European banks and Payments Service Providers PSPs, primarily focused in, but limited to, Belgium and Luxembourg and to close deals according to the targets set.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Initiating initial discussions with potential new customers and other stakeholders with the eco system (e.g. partners, resellers, local associations and advisors) and generate new business opportunities
- Increasing conversion of pipe: pushing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails and qualify potential customers
- Understanding customer needs and requirements and setting up the value proposal of Worldline, jointly with the pre-sales and product teams on a global level
- Performing effective online or F2F demos and presentation of our value proposition to prospects
- Researching accounts, identifying key players and generating interest
- Leading bid teams and influencing the Worldline response during tender processes
- Collaborating with the business development team to develop strategies for reaching targets
- Using customer relationship management software (Sales Navigator & SalesForce) to manage leads and sales activities
- Representing Worldline at Events, Conferences and Exhibitions
- Availability for frequent travel for prospecting, events and meetings

In practice this means:
- 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales in Central Europe, namely Poland, Slovakia and Czechia
- Excellent knowledge of the payments eco system is a must
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Fluent in English and either French or Dutch (preferably both)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
