Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Treasury Specialist who is responsible for the day-to-day operational handling and reporting of the cash and financial assets for Brussels Airlines and within LHG Corporate Finance; management and administration of all bank accounts of the company as well as support for Outstations in managing currency risks and funds availability. The Treasury Specialist is the main point of contact of LHG Corporate Finance for treasury related reporting and projects implementation.

Cash management

Daily follow-up of the cash position and needs of the company, in the various currencies.

Main activities:

• Report cash position and cash variance analyses for Brussels Airlines management;
• Report weekly cash position, daily cash needs and monthly currency forecast to LHG Corporate Finance;
• Autonomously analyze and plan the cash needs of the company, based on recurrent contracts and incoming invoices follow up;
• Ensure that, at any given moment in time, sufficient funds are available to allow correct payment of invoices and liabilities, for the various currencies required;
• Support the Cash Flow manager on the Cash Flow Forecast processes;
• Supports Outstations managing the currency risk.

Bank management and compliance

Administration of all bank accounts of the company.

Main activities:

• Administration of bank accounts and signatory powers;
• Be the first contact point for the internal and external customers (banks, insurance companies), in handling questions and issues regarding treasury. Identify solutions and autonomously take action;
• Negotiate bank offers and conditions and follow-up on bank cost;
• Guarantee compliance of all cash transactions with LHG embargo guidance;
• Answer to compliance queries from the banks, including support to outstations.

Other financial assets

Daily follow-up of the other financial assets position and needs of the company.

Main activities:

• Issuance and follow-up of the bank guarantees and others securities;
• Coordination and follow-up the hedging of FX and fuel with LHG Corporate Finance;
• Management of dues to and from LH and IATA;
• Decision and follow up of deposits, with the goal of maximizing interests received.

Treasury processes and projects

Manage and implement Brussels Airlines and LHG treasury related process improvements and projects.

Main activities:

• Implementation of LHG Corporate Finance projects, related to treasury;
• Manage the set-up, the improvement and the follow-up of all treasury processes;
• Use, maintain and improve the software environment used to manage the treasury;
• Support the outstations in the implementation of treasury projects.

Your profile

• Bachelor degree (Economics);
• 2-5 years of experience in a finance position;
• Accounting, financial and banking skills;
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office;
• Thorough knowledge of SAP;
• Knowledge of financial markets (global investments, currency volatility, interest rates, trends, risk assessment);
• Knowledge of treasury software application;
• Fluent in English; Dutch and French desirable;
• Being able to articulate messages clearly and communicate sensitively with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Bein able to quickly adapt to new situations and conditions;
• Being able to take ownership of tasks and processes, developing pragmatic solutions with limited resources.
