Your role

As the International Key Account Manager Retail BP, you will dedicate your time as the International Key Account Manager for international organised retail accounts, overseeing strategic and operational activities for these accounts, driving sustainable growth and operational excellence. You are responsible for the development, realisation and implementation of the commercial strategy and the development of a performant strategic approach of your international retail customers.

In this role, you will report to the Commercial Manager International Retail accounts BP and collaborate with central and local teams to ensure strategic alignment and operational success.

Your key responsibilities?

  • International Key Account Management for international organised retail accounts;
  • Lead the strategic and operational management of international customers at the international level, ensuring alignment with Vandemoortele’s broader retail strategy;
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) for your customers, driving profitable and sustainable growth, analysing market insights and mapping the potential with the help of the local commercial teams;
  • Maximize existing business (sales volume, margin, and cost efficiency through strategic account management) and unlock new growth opportunities in collaboration with country teams (local Key Account Managers);
  • Serve as the primary contact for international customers on all international matters, ensuring timely and effective communication and coordination;
  • Prepare & execute complex international negotiations;
  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure seamless execution of global strategies at the local level;
  • Monitor and analyse account performance, identifying opportunities for process optimization and strategic improvements;
  • Ensure operational excellence by managing KPIs such as service levels, on-time delivery, and promotional effectiveness together with the international customer care team in Ghent.

Are you the one we're looking for?

  • You have a master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field;
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in key account management within the FMCG sector, with a proven track record of managing international and local retail accounts;
  • You have strong strategic and operational skills, with the ability to align global objectives with local execution;
  • You have excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as German and Dutch are considered a plus.
