Financial & Business Controller

Your Role
This position reports to the Group Reporting & Consolidation Manager, with an additional dotted reporting line to the VP Finance Entertainment Europe & APAC.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting both the HQ Finance Consolidation & Reporting Team (~50%) and the Entertainment Division Finance Team (~50%);
- Contributing to the monthly consolidation of financial data from approximately 50 entities across the Cartamundi Group, including:
- Support local finance managers during monthly financial reporting;
- Reviewing local entities’ financial reports (sales, intercompany positions, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow);
- Detailed margin and inventory analysis for Entertainment entities;
- Executing consolidation entries in CCH Tagetik (intercompany eliminations, tax adjustments);
- Reviewing consolidated income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statement;
- Reviewing channel reporting (profitability analysis by sales channel);
- Analyzing and reporting key variances vs. prior year, budget, and rolling forecast.
- Planning, budgeting & forecasting:
- Supporting consolidation team with data collection, technical consolidation, trend analysis, and reporting for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans (3–5 years).
- Delivering timely, accurate, and insightful management reports and analyses; assisting in preparing presentations for senior management (ExCo, Global Entertainment Council);
- Preparing internal and external financial statements (e.g., year-end closing and external audits);
- Contributing to ad hoc projects (e.g., Balanced Scorecard, sustainability reporting under CSRD).
Your Profile
- Passion for working with data and numbers, strong analytical mindset, and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build a professional internal network in an international context; capable of working independently;
- High integrity and strong work ethic;
- Master’s degree in Finance (or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience);
- Preferably a few years of experience in either Audit or Financial Advisory (ideally in a Big 4 environment), consolidation or controlling (preferably in an international setting);
- Basic knowledge of BE GAAP reporting requirements;
- Experience with SAP and/or a consolidation tool and/or Power BI is a plus;
- Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and basic data analysis functions;
- Problem-solving mindset and drive for efficiency;
- Excellent command of English; Dutch is a plus.
