International Channel Marketing Manager Artisan Bakery

As Channel Marketeer Central you are responsible for developing the overall channel marketing vision and strategy. The role comprises of two main result areas:

  • Bring acceleration to your channel through the right channel marketing plans, including portfolio/ innovation, brand and activation strategy;
  • Ensure that the defined strategy is excellently translated locally.

Your key responsibilities are:

Channel marketing vision & strategy

  • Define key priorities together with Business Line Management Team and accordingly marketing actions to drive the channel performance (brands activations, innovation, ..);
  • Be the global Artisan Bakery channel expert in the Business line;
  • Activate and leverage international brands like St-Allery, Gold Cup and Opal, supported by the International Technical Advisor for Artisan Bakery;
  • Set Channel KPIs & approach to be rolled out locally, analyse and monitor channel/category performance and set corrective action;
  • P&L guardian on channel level, review total group performance & propose optimizations.

Liaison HQ/Local Commercial teams

  • Ensure the category management policies (brands, product range, pricing and marketing) are reflected in action plans to be implemented by the all countries through international brands or local hero brands;
  • Support the local teams in the implementation of strategic projects;
  • Install international synergies & share best practices;
  • Align amongst the Artisan Bakery marketing plans of both Business Line;
  • Initiating and managing (international) projects. You are the key figure between the various departments for the most important projects;
  • Coordinate tasks of the International Technical Advisor for Artisan Bakery.

Market and product knowledge

  • Gather and retain market knowledge on our categories and channel.
  • Monitors competitors' activities in the Artisan Bakery channel and transform observations into actionable insights.
  • Organise internal training and review meetings.

Portfolio Management

  • Manage the current product range: perform an ongoing SWOT analysis of the current range (profitability) and analyse new product opportunities;
  • Follow-up of sales of new introductions in the Vandemoortele assortment;
  • Spotting gaps in the Vandemoortele assortment in close cooperation with the local marketing managers and the International Technical Advisor for Artisan Bakery;
  • Development of promotional material, brochures, pictures and packaging of the Vandemoortele assortment.

Are you the one we’re looking for?

  • You hold a Master degree in Econimics, Business Administration, Marketing or related field and you have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • You have experience in B2B Product Management (marketing) and/or New Product Development Knowledge;
  • You are passionate by food and you have a high affinity with bakery products;
  • Data-driven, you bring optimizations based on fact-based analysis;
  • Strong business acumen, knows how to prioritize and focus for impact;
  • Solid Project Management skills, as a good eye for details;
  • Embraces change in pursuit of continuous growth for the organization, acts as a catalyst for strategic project acceleration;
  • Excellent Communication, presentation and convincing skills, is a great stakeholder manager, in English, other languages are a plus;
  • Great team player, and strong networker enjoys cross-functional way-of-working, and brings people together behind a vision;
  • You are willing to travel within Europe (short trips).
