As a IT Specialist Local Support, you will be the go-to person for local IT needs, managing and maintaining hardware and software while actively participating in various projects. You will play a key role in ensuring business continuity and supporting business initiatives by collaborating closely with different units.
How you create impact
- 2nd Level IT Support: Efficiently resolving IT helpdesk tickets and providing technical assistance to users;
- Hardware and Software Administration: Installing, maintaining, and managing Kuehne+Nagel laptops, desktops, printers, servers, and all associated hardware;
- Business Collaboration: Working closely with Business Units to support business initiatives and ensure seamless IT integration;
- Business Continuity: Ensuring data availability and safeguarding business continuity in our ICT environment;
- Process Optimization: Defining, optimizing, and continuously improving IT processes for better efficiency and effectiveness;
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation of all IT activities and procedures;
- Project Management: Actively participating in business projects and collaborating with Business and Functional Units, corporate IT, and BeNeLux IT.
What we would like you to bring
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience;
- Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge of PC and Server Operating Systems;
- Experience in IT Support: Previous experience in 2nd level IT support is beneficial;
- IT Standards and Networking: Familiarity with business processes, IT standards (e.g., ITIL), and networking technologies;
- Programming Skills: Basic programming knowledge is an advantage;
- Analytical Skills: Strong technical understanding, logical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving;
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Dutch or French is a plus);
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering high-quality support and customer satisfaction;
- Certifications: ITIL certification is a plus but not mandatory.
