As a Market Specialist for standard cranio-maxillofacial (CMF) medical devices, you will play a central role in strengthening Materialise’s market presence and ensuring that our solutions meet and exceed customer expectations. You will act as the link between the market and our agile product development teams, capturing and prioritizing customer needs, providing product training, and maintaining strong professional relationships that drive loyalty and business growth.
Job description
Working closely with surgeons, hospital staff, procurement officers, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that feedback from the field is effectively translated into actionable insights, helping Materialise bring the highest-value solutions to market.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders, including maxillofacial surgeons, operating room staff, procurement officers, and departments such as sterilization and logistics;
- Proactively collect, understand, and prioritize customer needs and challenges;
- Provide clear, detailed feedback to R&D and agile teams to align product development with customer requirements;
- Deliver product training sessions for healthcare professionals and hospital staff;
- Collaborate with marketing teams to supply technical input, market intelligence, and campaign support;
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and broader CMF market dynamics;
- Test prototypes and final solutions with customers in real-world settings, gathering insights for improvement.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, life sciences, business, or similar);
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the CMF sector, preferably in technical sales or, alternatively, in a sales or technical role in CMF medical devices;
- Strong understanding of CMF medical devices and hospital workflows;
- Languages: English — fluent (must), French or German — strong plus, any other European language — plus;
- Experience in interacting with medical doctors and other healthcare professionals;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural, and cross-functional environment;
- Demonstrated ability to adapt, plan, and execute tasks with minimal supervision;
- Position requires frequent travel within the EU and occasionally beyond.
