At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our UniQue team in Brussels.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Elicit, understand and challenge business needs from multiple stakeholders to ensure clear, feasible and value-driven requirements. Derive requirements from the existing solution.
- Gather, validate and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are complete, consistent and ready for development.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Propose practical solutions by defining expected system behaviour and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Map client requirements to system capabilities, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal design.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, development team and client to support effective collaboration and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Facilitate dialogue across teams and ensure the development team has sufficient detail and context to implement the solution.
- Work with the Product Owner to gather, analyse, and document business requirements to transform them into actionable work.
- Support the Product Owner on backlog refinement, user story definition and ongoing clarification during development and testing.
- Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions, and assess potential business impacts.
- Participate and support in solution testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Report on progress against plans and provide status updates to the Project Manager.
- Participation in coordinating and project meetings.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Bachelor's degree & 17 years of experience or Master's degree & 13 years of experience in IT (non-overlapping with studies).
- Holding one of the following certifications is considered an advantage:
- ITIL certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- PRINCE2 Foundation.
- PM2 certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with MS Office Suite or Google Docs.
- At least 3 years of experience with UML.
- No less than 3 years of experience on large-scale IT projects.
- In-depth knowledge of BPMN.
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques and tools.
- Understanding of application development environments.
- Skilled in Agile methodology.
- Ability to give business and technical presentations.
- Capability to write clear and structured functional and technical documents.
- Good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency of English language at a C1 level.
