At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Application Cloud Architect to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Analyze and integrate different information systems or building blocks;
• Execute data analysis and data modelling;
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;
• Design/development/maintenance of applications that reflect the specifications;
• Participate in the deployment and configuration of the system (s);
• Production of software architecture documents;
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the Project Team;
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting;
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture;
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud if applicable;
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

Requirements

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Bachelor's degree and 13 years of experience OR Master and 9 years of experience (experience cannot overlap with studies);
• Hold one or more of the following certifications is an advantage:
  • Oracle Certified Professional Java Application Developer;
  • Angular Certification;
  • Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP);
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect;
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert;
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect;
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in applications design and JAVA development;
• At least 2 years of recent experience in architecture best practices and patterns;
• No less than 2 years of recent experience in Angular/JS development;
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in relational DBMS (especially Oracle DB, SQL);
• At least 2 years of recent experience in interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture);
• At least 2 years of recent experience in Agile and Agile toolbox (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Balsamiq, etc.);
• Very good knowledge of the following technologies: Hibernate, GIT, MAVEN, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST;
• Excellent communicator and capability to speak to business and technical audiences in public institutions;
• Good redaction skills;
• Strong organizational and time-management skills;
• Excellent critical thinker, by using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;
• Experience with the following is considered an advantage:
  • Understanding of European Commission's building blocks like EU Login, eUI, CNS and e-Delivery;
  • Knowledge of serverless development and NoSQL databases;
  • Experience and specific expertise in A/B, Blue/Green and Canary deployments.
• Proficiency in English language at a minimum C1 level;
• Proficiency in French language at a minimum B1 level is considered an asset.
