About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial follow-up of Joint ventures involved in project-based activities. The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The position also includes a supporting leadership component, as the Senior Accountant will progressively act as back-up to the Team Leader of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for several Joint Ventures.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly reporting.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Monitor cash flow, project costs, and partner allocations.
• Prepare partner reporting and financial summaries for joint venture participants.
• Coordinate with project managers, partners, auditors, and external accountants.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal procedures.
• Assist with audit processes and provide required documentation.
• Improve and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Act as back-up for the Team Leader, supporting coordination within the accounting team when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in A to Z accounting, preferably in project accounting, joint ventures, or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entities/projects simultaneously.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English, and
• French or Dutch (professional working proficiency).

Additional Assets

• Experience with joint ventures accounting.
• Experience working in international or project-driven environments.
• Knowledge of ERP accounting systems.
