For our Consumer Products Division, we are looking for an experienced Group Account Manager to join our Benelux Commercial Team located in Brussels. The scope of the position is Belgian food retailers Delhaize and Carrefour and some smaller accounts such as Cactus, Intermarche & new business. The Group Account Manager reports directly to the Commercial Director, located in Hoofddorp but frequently also in Brussels, and it part of the Sales Leadership Team.

Who am I?

As Group Account Manager, the key responsibilities are:

  • He or she builds the food channel strategy and action plan by implementing the Division strategy at channel level. The Group Account Manager will be sharing channel perspective, risks and opportunities
  • He or she has an entrepreneurial mindset to conquer new business potentials and has a pro-active mentality with good stakeholder management skills
  • Building and achieving the channel/group of accounts results: turnover, market share, profit, valorization, forecasting, customer (Advantage) and employee (Pulse) satisfaction
  • Owns the channel's yearly negotiation together with the team. Allocates resources accordingly, ensures accurate forecasts and adapts plan when needed
  • Monitors a retailer-centric account planning process to reach as much alignment as possible with each client and designs a retailer specific development plan. Builds a compelling story to get retailer buying in. Builds a strong network with key stakeholders at the retailers
  • Facilitates good relations between L’Oréal and Retailers top managements
  • Manages, coaches and develops his/her team of 6 and leads multifunctional team work between his teams and other departments. Ensures efficient customer intelligence

The candidate should

  • Have experience with the specific way of working of Belgian and/or Dutch retail, as it is a crucial element to successfully fill the role in leading and coaching junior member of the team on this market.
  • Be able to thrive in the highly rewarding entrepreneurial “go-get” environment of L’Oréal, that requires the candidate tackle the opportunities that come with a less rigidly structured environment.
  • Have demonstrated coaching skills, provided the role has 6 direct reports including junior and senior profiles, people management experience is important.
  • At least 7 to 10 years experience
  • Speaks English and French. Dutch is a pre.
  • Master degree
