A day in your life as a Credit Decision Model Expert driving our Credit Decision Models
With a strong end-to-end perspective, you understand and are capable to develop & challenge credit risk models aligning to our business developments, credit risk policies and portfolio steering actions, actively contributing to the growth of ING Belgium with prudent risk principles guiding your actions.
Your affinity with quantitative models will make you a champion in that role, with this unique ability to translate customers and business needs into model design and implementation, while balancing perspective with your risk hat on.
Your adaptability and change mindset is critical to succeed in this role, supported by strong project management, delivery tracking and problem-solving thinking. You continuously seek alignment with your stakeholders, both internally within Risk as well as with your business colleagues from Business Banking. Your sharp eyes for details guarantee proper execution as well as continuous monitoring for effectiveness and efficiency of our credit decision processes.
In particular, you will:
Design credit decision model solutions and drive their implementation together with model development colleagues, to accelerate automation in decisioning to boost growth, in particular that of Business Banking clients
Perform risk scenarios and simulation analyses to identify models and policies optimization, and provide recommendations and solutions
Closely engage with
our key Business stakeholders to ensure that design and implementation reflect commercial strategy, ambitions and value propositions
our Credit risk policy experts to co-ideate solutions, ensuring consistent application of policies and models to safely drive automation
our Credit analytics expert to continuously assess the relevance of our policies, models and their impact on our credit risks
our Hubs and Group colleagues to co-create and implement models in line with applicable standards
Act responsibly and proactively with an end-to-end perspective to ensure soundness of credit decision models, ensuring regular performance monitoring and maintenance, as well as compliance with applicable standards
Clearly communicate on progress, objectives and way forward by leveraging on key project management and delivery tracking capabilities

You can present progress at various seniority levels, using strong written and oral communication skills

You ideally have experience with credit decision models processes and policies
Fluent in English and ideally in Dutch or French
Master's degree, with 5 years relevant experience
