As a AI Engineer, you will join our Engineering department to build and scale the AI capabilities that are integrated directly into our customer-facing platforms and services.

What you'll do:

• Designing, constructing, and implementing generative AI features, including agentic workflows and RAG pipelines, for N-SIDE's digital platforms and tools;
• Managing the integration and orchestration of foundation models, ranging from proprietary solutions to self-hosted open-source alternatives like Llama or Qwen;
• Developing secure retrieval systems and vector databases that link our internal clinical data to Large Language Model capabilities;
• Setting up automated evaluation frameworks to ensure high output quality, factual accuracy, and reliable instruction adherence for all AI features;
• Architecting robust prompt systems and safety guardrails to maintain reliability and consistency within our production environments;
• Taking responsibility for the economic efficiency and scalability of GenAI services by monitoring latency, token usage, and overall throughput;
• Partnering with product managers and domain specialists to convert complex business needs into effective, production-ready AI solutions;
• Educating engineering teams on generative AI standards and methods for developing applications using non-deterministic models.

About you:

• You bring over three years of professional engineering background, including at least one to two years dedicated to shipping Generative AI and LLM solutions into production environments;
• You hold a master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field;
• Advanced programming skills in Python (or TypeScript/Java), with the ability to maintain rigorous codebases;
• Practical expertise with current GenAI orchestration frameworks and vector database technologies;
• A deep grasp of core software engineering principles, encompassing testing, version control, and CI/CD workflows;
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to clarify technical model behaviors and trade-offs for various stakeholders;
• You have a great team spirit, sense of initiative and responsibility over the products you deliver;
• You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus;
• Experience in SaaS products or enterprise software is a plus.
