As a Database Architect, you will:
Lead database design, data modeling, and integration efforts across both relational (Oracle) and NoSQL environments, including the reverse engineering of existing systems;
Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize database components while establishing coding standards and standard naming conventions;
Elaborate test programs (including PL/SQL unit testing) and assist with system deployment, configuration, and risk analysis;
Write comprehensive technical documentation, provide technical evaluations, and deliver database audit reports;
Participate actively in project meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
A Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field;
Minimum 15 years expert-level knowledge of Oracle Databases and PL/SQL, alongside WebLogic Servers, JEE, and Oracle SOA Suite (minimum 10 years);
Hands-on experience with SQL/PL/SQL, NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra), and query languages like MQL/CQL, using tools like Oracle SQL Developer and Hackolade;
Strong understanding of database architecture, security best practices, master data management, and release management in an Agile environment;
Capability to write clear technical documentation and confidently present complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences;
Experience working in large, multicultural, team-oriented environments and having rapid self-starting capabilities;
English language proficiency, proficiency in French is a strong advantage;
High degree of discretion and integrity, which is essential for handling personal, confidential, and sensitive data.
