Context

To support the strong growth of DPAM's Fixed Income business, we are looking to strengthen the team with a seasoned Portfolio Manager Global Government Bonds.

Your position

• Actively contribute to the portfolio construction, risk monitoring and day-to-day management of government bond investment portfolios with a broad and global scope;
• Develop, analyse and implement (new) investment ideas within the investment universe in a holistic and pragmatic way;
• Prepare and actively participate in investment committees;
• Manage and support risk management and performance measurement of the portfolios;
• Meet with internal and external clients to review investment performance, outline the investment outlook and discuss investment solutions;
• Collaborate and interact with various teams throughout the asset management company (macro-research, European and Global rates, Emerging markets, credit);
• Contribute to further building out the way we integrate sustainability in our investment processes.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject;
• About 4-10 years’ experience in fixed income markets, preferably with a focus on portfolio management;
• Technical knowledge of fixed income securities, including but not limited to government bonds and various derivative instruments;
• Knowledge of the inflation-linked bond market would be of great value added;
• Looking for strong chemistry with the existing staff in a flat hierarchical structure;
• Passion for financial markets and in depth/current understanding of macro-economics and fixed income markets. Affinity with (academic) research;
• Proven analytical, automation (e.g. Excel VBA, Python) and time management skills;
• Eager to continuously learn and attention for detail;
• Solid communication & presentation skills;
• Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude and high ethical standards;
• Exhibiting a long-term commitment to excel in the function;
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends within fixed income asset management and strong interest in global current affairs;
• Openness for some travel is required.
