Tasks and responsibilities:

People management:

You are responsible for about 30 side loader drivers in the duffel warehouse. The side loader drivers are responsible for the safe internal movement of goods using a side loader. They can rely on their team leaders for day-to-day management. As department head, you are responsible for closely monitoring team dynamics such as encouraging cooperation, involving colleagues and dealing with conflicts. You will also manage the available staff and ensure optimal staffing levels.

You are responsible for the daily coaching of your direct reports: the team leaders

Operational management:

You are responsible for achieving your department's objectives and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Safety and quality are very important and you involve your department in improvement projects. You are in contact with various stakeholders.

Your profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment is an asset but we are also open to school leavers with the necessary drive and competences.
• Competencies: Strong in people management, project management, and communication with stakeholders.
