The Association of German Banks, headquartered in Berlin with liaison offices in Brussels and Frankfurt, is one of Germany's major trade associations. It represents the interests of private banks and FinTechs operating in Germany at national, European and international level. We are looking for an Team assistant (gn) to strengthen our European and International Affairs team based in Brussels. This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week). The team deals with European and international financial market regulation and is responsible for cooperation with European and international banking associations.

Your tasks:

  • Support in the organization of political appointments - in particular also for the President and the Chief Executive Officer;
  • Support in organizing events in Brussels;
  • Support in the organization of committee meetings of the banking association;
  • Coordinating the preparation of preparatory documents for bilateral appointments, events and committee meetings;
  • Press monitoring and preparation of information formats and newsletters;
  • Updating intranet and internet content;
  • Completing paperwork (draft letters, memos, etc.);
  • Organizational supervision of interns.

Our requirements and expectations:

  • Successfully completed vocational training or studies (preferably commercial, political or linguistic);
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, very good oral and written expression in German and English, advanced knowledge of French desirable;
  • Digital competence and confident handling of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Careful and reliable work ethic, loyalty and trustworthiness;
  • Proactive approach and personal responsibility;
  • Flexibility and enjoyment of versatility and the international environment as well as of changing requirements;
  • Independence and the ability to work in a team in equal measure;
  • Friendly, obliging appearance.
