Description

We currently have a vacancy for an Interface Designer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

Translation of business requirements into a UI solution and User Experience analysis;
Visual prototyping of UI solutions such as designing (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, mock-ups, and storyboards;
Design and development of UI solutions for different web products and platforms, including showing styling, use of typography, images, text, the definition of Information Architecture, interaction workflows, and navigation;
Creation and maintenance of style guides, brand book, and visual component libraries, including sketched concepts and page templates as well as graphical elements including illustrations, visuals, infographics, and data visualizations;
Definition of user-centred evaluations of UI solutions, identifying key usability problems and providing recommendations on how to solve them (including the participation in usability studies with users);
Contribution to test scenarios and test result analysis regarding the UI components;
Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with databases or other server-side logic.

Requirements

University degree in IT combined with relevant professional experience of 13 years;
Experience in UX design best practices, including user interface ergonomics, responsive design, data protection, and security principles as well as web technologies, frameworks, and standards such as HTML, XHTML, CSS and jQuery development, W3C, accessibility, SEO, JavaScript, Angular, React, and Vue;
Experience in user-centred design principles and methodologies, including the development of usability test plans for all stages of a project life-cycle based on defined target audiences, personas, and user stories;
Good knowledge of wireframing and interactive prototyping design tools such as Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin, and Framer.js as well as design and graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator;
Knowledge of fundamental visual and typographic design disciplines and principles, interaction flows, and information architecture;
Knowledge of user testing through all stages of a project, including different techniques and methods, such as eye tracking, dynamic or static verification, remote usability testing, A/B testing, hallway testing, user testing, cross-browser compatibility, and post-release testing;
Excellent command of the English language.
