Mission

The OCC Teamleader, reporting to Head of IOCC, is responsible for the safe, secure, economic, punctual and customer-orientated planning, execution and continuous assessment of service delivery at Operations Control and Flight Dispatch. He/she ensures day-to-day operations control, flight dispatch, mission support are in accordance at all times with safety, security and legal regulations as published in the respective operator’s manuals. The OCC Teamleader adapts general processes to line procedures and ensures process loyalty in the line organization.

Operations

  • Ensures correct operational compliance with regulatory, industrial and Company requirements;
  • Provide and control adequate procedures to the iOCC Team in accordance with Operational Manuals;
  • Operations excellence: routinely identify weakness in procedures and processes, lead the team to perform root cause analysis and execute corrective action to drive continuous improvement;
  • Attend meetings related to nature of business;
  • Act as Deputy of Head of iOCC if designated.

People Management

  • Team Management and development in accordance with target agreements, appraisals and budget allowance;
  • Resource budgeting, planning and ad-hoc adaptation of roster;
  • Selecting, leading, guiding and motivating his/her team;
  • Developing and fostering talent by applying the available performance management tools and managing performance consequences;
  • Conducting personnel appraisals and periodic feedback talks together with Head of iOCC.

Performance Assurance

  • Operations quality: KPI monitoring, root cause analysis and follow up actions;
  • is also in control together with the Head of iOCC & Flight Support that all KPIs are met and controlled correctly;
  • In coordination with Head of iOCC, review and develop further KPI concept that suits the nature of business;

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain a transparent, smooth and healthy information flow with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers;
  • Proactively handle two-way feedback to/from stakeholders and suppliers with the goal of process enhancement and joint success;
  • Provides support and delivers data to the Legal Department on request;
  • Review and refine process based on service scope development.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with minimum 3 years of experience in operations and people management, or, Bachelor’s degree, or an FOO Certificate that meets the standards and requirement as described in ICAO Doc 10106, with many years of civil aviation experience.

Profile

  • English at professional level, Dutch or French as a plus;
  • Stress resistant and be able to make pragmatic decisions with sound judgement;
  • Critical thinker with creative problem solving skills;
  • Learning by doing;
  • People management experience in operational environment is a plus;
  • Project management experience is a plus;
  • Process management experience is a plus.

  • People-oriented with excellent inter-personal skills;
