You know what else has changed people’s lives? Online shopping. You know those web shops that read your mind and show you stuff you didn’t even know you needed? Ours doesn’t do that. And we’d like to change that. By hiring a Global E-commerce Manager.
Both of them are potential Loop customers. Up to you to make their stay on our web shop as smooth as possible. Even though one’s a German music enthusiast and the other’s a noise sensitive mom from New York. Which means, going all-in on customer experience through segmentation and personalization.
Of course, you have a hand in getting them there too. The customer acquisition and activation journeys are under your care too. From a content and SEO strategy to boost our organic reach to online advertising campaigns, anything to up those conversion and engagement rates. Even it means taking some risks and trying out new ways to nurture and convince our customers. You get them from ‘Hey, what’s that? Earplugs?’ to ‘That’s it, I’m buying them.’
Oh, and don’t forget the shopping cart abandonment rate. That needs to go down. For obvious reasons. But before you do all that, take a look at the bigger picture.
That’s right, our E-commerce roadmap is yours to outline. Your inner strategist is in for a huge treat. A global one too. We’re building an international brand here, you see. Most pieces of the puzzle are already there. Meaning: there’s a long list of existing initiatives. Up to you to prioritize and implement them as you see fit. You just have two goals. To make us less dependent on paid traffic. And to crack the code of markets that are still out of reach for us now.
A set of high performing regional websites will do the trick if you ask us. But you’re the one with the E-com experience here, so we’ll follow your lead. Not blindly though. You report to Tris, our Growth Director. Who you’ll keep up to date with sharp reports on your KPI's (ROAS, LTV, CR, AOV, …) The E-commerce dashboard you monitor will come in handy here. As will your analytical side. There’s a ton of user data from web analytics, surveys, feedback forms and other qualitative and quantitative data available to you. Dig in. Use it wisely. And don’t forget to plug in your team.
Yes, you get to build your own team. Nice, right? It also means you set the work vibe. We’re not worried though; your collaborative mindset, upbeat attitude and enthusiasm are contagious. Your team will pick up on it in no time.
Oh, and since we are a scale-up we’re all about failing fast and cheap, but winning big. So, inspiring your team to take – data validated – risks, learning from it and encouraging them to try again, is part of setting the work vibe too. As is showing them how much you appreciate their added value. It’s a must-do around here. Go team E!
