As Global Sales Manager you are part of the fast growing Zirfon - Green Hydrogen Membranes - team within the Digital Print and Chemicals division of Agfa. You will be responsible for the definition of the Zirfon sales strategy, the organization and the monitoring of the full sales cycle. You will work closely with the Zirfon Business Development Manager and the BU Manager to develop new relationships and means for growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a global sales strategy in order to achieve the commercial objectives (volumes, margins, supply,...) according to the annual sales budget and the 5-year growth-plan;
  • Identifying global opportunities and establishing key business partnerships;
  • Expanding the global customer base and business development pipeline in line with the fast growing green hydrogen market;
  • Visit customers, identify the key decision takers, working closely together to identify key needs and negotiate long term commercial supply agreements;
  • Build and maintain long lasting customer relationships, you offer excellent service and pro-actively follow-up to turn new potential orders into sales;
  • Analyze sales figures, take corrective actions as required and implement an accurate sales forecasting process;
  • Implementing and maintaining a sales excellence culture;
  • Managing inbounds leads and outbound campaigns with our CRM;
  • Reporting to the management on the global sales results;
  • You follow-up on the process from order to payment;
  • Closely follow-up the evolutions in the market and technology, analyze customer needs and ZIRFON’s competitive position. Translate those findings into commercial plans, execute and report to management;
  • Build and deepen the company’s online presence and digital marketing, including fulfilling an active role at virtual events, as well as, actively promoting the company at exhibitions and tradeshows.

Requirements

  • You have a commercial background (Master in Business Administration, Commercial engineer, Master in Commercial Sciences, ) and are passionate by technology;
  • You have 5+ year experience in sales and new business development in a global B2B environment, preferably in a chemical related industry;
  • You have excellent technical skills to understand the customer requirements and to translate ZIRFONS’ technical performance into the customer specific value proposition;
  • Knowledge of the energy transition market and more specifically the green hydrogen market is a strong plus;
  • You can demonstrate successful experience in deploying sales and business development strategies;
  • You are very strong in customer prospecting; you can convert leads into contracts;
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills in English and French;
  • You are enthusiastic about Agfa and the ZIRFON brand;
  • You have persuasiveness and perseverance;
  • You are result-driven and have strong interpersonal skills;
  • You are a team player but can work independently;
  • You are comfortable with frequent international travelling (>30%);
  • Excellent customer-facing negotiation skills;
  • You are fluent in English and French, good practice of Dutch is a plus.
